I have been fortunate to have traveled all over the world ...

... as an Army officer, US diplomat, financial services industry consultant, company CEO managing major airline and hotel frequent flyer mile and loyalty point alliances … and as just a plain (and happy!) tourist.

I’ve lived in Paris, Prague, New York, San Francisco, and Washington DC. I have traveled first-class, business, economy, and stand-by, staying at the best hotels and resorts, and at many, many more of their less expensive (and better!) cousins.

I’ve dined at fine restaurants and many less-extravagant eateries that were just as memorable, and far better!

To get from here to there, I have used cars, buses, trains, ocean liners, jetliners, DC 3s, Cessnas, helicopters, car ferries, and good walking shoes or hiking boots!

I’ve been bumped from too many flights, and made (and missed!) more too-tight connections totally out of breath, than I care now to think about.

I have camped in stellar national parks and in the most primitive of open spaces. And, I have thrilled to see the Northern Lights more than once.

Born in New York City, I’m a long time resident of Washington DC. I’ll be 65 this year (2007). Once I decide what I want to do when I grow up ... I’ll let you know!
